Series Sub-brand

Design a dedicated sub-brand that packages and promotes the GEM CIO's written work — building his profile as a go-to voice in the industry.

The ask:

Develop a distinct sub-brand — rooted in the firm's overarching identity — to publish and market a thought leadership series authored by the CIO.

Discovery:

Conducted a competitive audit of industry peers and higher education institutions to gather visual inspiration, messaging frameworks, and title direction.

Action:

What started as 'Bank Notes' evolved through rounds of iteration spanning content layout, social media, and email marketing visuals. As feedback called for a more sophisticated, institutional sensibility, the visual concept was sharpened — with refined graphics, imagery, and composition to match. 

Through team collaboration, the series was titled 'The Long View,' grounded by the tagline 'From the Desk of Matt Bank.

Results

The series continues to grow. To date, four volumes of 'The Long View' have been published as interactive PDFs and printed booklets, accompanied by a range of email and social media marketing materials.
